1. The agreement
When you create an AthleticX account or sign up for our waitlist, you agree to these terms. If you're under 18, your parent or legal guardian must agree too. If you don't agree, please don't use the product.
2. Who can use AthleticX
AthleticX is built for competitive youth soccer players ages 13 and up. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If you're under 18, a parent or legal guardian must give consent before you create an account. We may ask for proof of that consent and may pause your account if we can't verify it.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Don't share your account with anyone else. If you think someone else is using your account, email us right away.
4. Voice recordings
AthleticX is voice-first. When you record a session, you're sharing audio with us. We process that audio (we use carefully selected vendors — see our Privacy Policy) and turn it into a transcript and structured insights.
Your voice is not used to train AI models — ours or our vendors'. Raw audio is automatically deleted within 30 days. The transcript and structured insights stay so your trends remain continuous.
Voice recordings can be considered biometric information in some jurisdictions. By using AthleticX, you consent to us processing your voice for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw that consent at any time by closing your account.
5. Acceptable use
AthleticX is for your own athletic development. Don't record other people without their consent. Don't upload anything illegal, harmful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service.
6. Fees and pricing
AthleticX is free during our private beta. Founding members will keep free lifetime access to the Premium tier when we launch publicly. If we ever introduce paid tiers, we'll tell you in advance and you can decide whether to subscribe.
7. Your reflections, your data
Your recordings, transcripts, and insights are yours. By using AthleticX, you grant us a limited license to process and store that data so the product can work for you.
AthleticX (the product, the brand, the software) is ours. You're licensed to use it under these terms; you're not buying it.
8. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time. We'll delete your data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep something for legal reasons. We can also close accounts for serious or repeated terms violations.
9. No warranty
AthleticX is provided 'as is' during our beta. We don't promise the service will always be available, error-free, or fit for any specific purpose. AthleticX is a tool for reflection — not medical, athletic, or coaching advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for anything related to AthleticX is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months — which, during the beta, is zero.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If we make a change that materially affects your rights, we'll notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California. If we can't resolve a dispute through good-faith conversation, that's where it goes.
